Daisy Day for the Journey It’s Your World, Change It!
9:00am-1:00pm, Saturday, March 23, 2013
Join us on a journey as we dig deeper into the art and science of gardens. Learn how pollinators communicate to locate nectar and tend the hive. Dissect seeds and see how plants begin to germinate. Get your hands dirty helping us tend our organic gardens and fruit trees. The days’ activities allow the girls to complete the Water Can and Golden Honey Bee awards. Girls will complete their Take Action Project.
Brownie, Junior and Cadette Day for the Journey It’s Your World, Change it!

Come join other Brownies, Juniors, and Cadettes for an action packed afternoon of activities where you will discover your moxie. Brownies will participate in a quest, solving riddles and following clues, as they get to know their inner strengths. Brownies are eligible for their Connect Key and Take Action Key after attending the program. The Juniors and Cadettes focus on completing more advanced group challenges by setting goals and working collaboratively. Juniors are eligible for the Power of Team Award and Power of Community Award after attending the program. Cadettes are eligible for the Diplomat and Peacemaker Awards after attending the program.
Daisy and Brownie Day for the Journey It’s Your Planet, Love It!

Bring your Daisies and Brownies for a half day of digging in the dirt, stomping in the creek, and playing in the woods. Daisies investigate the ecological cycles that are important for plants. Brownies connect these cycles with streams on our campus where they investigate the health of this sensitive ecosystem. The day concludes with a sustainability challenge, connecting each girl with their environment. Daisies who attend the program are eligible for the Firefly and Clover Awards. Brownies are eligible for the Save Water and Share Water awards following the program.
Junior, Cadette and Senior Day for the Journey It’s Your Planet, Love It!

Are you ready for the Green Team Challenge? Dive into sustainability, ‘going green’, and much more. Opportunities will include designing and building a wind turbine, building a model solar car, or building a miniature hydroelectric energy generating station. Join with members of your troop to compete in the Green Team Challenge at the end of the day. Juniors are eligible for the Investigate and Innovate Awards following the program. Cadettes complete all work necessary to earn the Aware and Alert Awards in this Journey. Seniors follow a separate track and complete all of the background work on their Harvest Plan. At the end of the workshop, each senior will be ready to launch her Harvest Plan, the final step in earning the Harvest Award.
Fee: $25 per girl for each 4 hour program.
